In short

The summary

meTime has no accounts and no servers of our own. Your timers, events, counters and settings are stored on your device and are never sent to us.

We do not track you. There is no analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking, and no profiling of any kind.

We never see your payment details. Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple.

Controller

Who is responsible

meTime is made by Extent OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia under registry code 16081472, at Kamara tee 3-1, Kamara, 69304, Mulgi vald, Viljandimaa, Estonia.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Extent OÜ is the data controller for the limited processing described below. You can reach us at info@extent.ee.

Your content

What stays on your device

Everything you create in meTime is stored locally on your iPhone using the operating system's own storage. It is not uploaded to us, and we have no way to read it. This includes:

If you delete meTime, this data is removed with it, apart from the first-launch date, which iOS keeps in the device keychain so that reinstalling the app does not restart the introductory access period. You can remove it by resetting your device's keychain.

We do not offer any cloud sync or backup. If your device is backed up to iCloud, your meTime data may be included in that backup, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy rather than ours.

Purchases

Subscriptions and payments

meTime offers optional paid subscriptions and a one-time purchase. All payments are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials.

To know whether your subscription is active, we use RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and the purchase receipt issued by Apple. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or Apple Account, and we do not combine it with anything else.

RevenueCat acts as our data processor. Their privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymised sales and download reports. These contain no information that identifies an individual.

Notifications

Alerts and reminders

If you allow notifications, meTime schedules them locally on your device so it can tell you when a timer finishes or an event is due. Nothing is sent through a server, ours or anyone else's, and we receive no information about whether a notification was delivered or opened.

You can withdraw permission at any time in iOS Settings.

What we deliberately do not do

Legal

Legal basis and your rights

Why we may process data

Where we process the limited purchase information described above, we do so on the basis of performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) — it is what lets us give you access to the features you paid for. Where you have granted notification permission, that processing rests on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

Data on your device stays until you delete it or remove the app. Purchase records held by RevenueCat are retained for as long as needed to support your subscription and to meet accounting obligations under Estonian law.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because we hold almost nothing that identifies you, most of these rights are exercised simply by deleting the app. For anything else, write to info@extent.ee and we will respond within one month.

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or to the supervisory authority in your own country.

Children

Younger users

meTime is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone. The app requires no account and asks for no personal information, so no age verification is necessary to use it safely.

Changes

Updates to this policy

If we change how meTime handles data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store.
